An antenna array was a powerful, large, surface-based antenna used to transmit electromagnetic waves for long-range interplanetary communications.

Section 31 had an antenna array installed at the surface above an underground safe house used by Alok Sahar in the early 24th century. It had redundancies built in to its design and required a theta junction to operate. When in use, it fired a visible yellow beam into the sky. (Star Trek: Section 31)
