Boy

The Indian boy was a member of the tribe of American Indian descendants that lived on the planet Amerind. He was tending to the fishnets when he became entangled in them and sank to the bottom of the river. He was brought up from the river bottom, but was declared dead by Salish, the medicine chief. Captain James T. Kirk, who had lost his memory and joined the tribe, gave the boy mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and brought him back to life. (TOS: "The Paradise Syndrome")

The Indian boy was portrayed by Lamont Laird.

Handmaiden 1

This handmaiden accompanied Miramanee to bring food to the obelisk, when Captain Kirk suddenly emerged from inside.

Salish's father chose not to pass on the secrets of the temple to his son. According to Miramanee, "His father did not wish to share his power too soon. He died before he told Salish the secret," subsequently leaving the Amerind people in danger from an incoming asteroid. (TOS: "The Paradise Syndrome")
