Algol I

Algol I was the inhabited first planet in the Algol system. The planet was located in the Alpha Quadrant and was approximately 94 light years from Sol. It was orbited by a single moon and a ring system. This planet was home to a warp-capable civilization that had established first contact with the Federation by 2259.

By that year, their civilization had been or was in the process of being inducted into the Federation (SNW: "Strange New Worlds")

According to StarTrek.com, the Algolian homeworld was in the Algol system. [1](X)
