Algeron system

The Algeron system was a planetary system in the Beta Quadrant.

This was a single star system with a white-blue primary.

In this system, there were at least four planets, including Algeron IV.

Stellar cartography

In 2259, the location of this system was seen on a stellar cartography chart seen on the USS Enterprise's ready room viewscreen. Though it was near the Federation-Romulan border, it was marked with a white symbol, indicating that the system was not aligned with either the United Federation of Planets nor the Romulan Star Empire. On stardate 1292.4, the location of Algeron was labeled in a star chart used during a Section 31 Alpha Team briefing. (Star Trek: Section 31)

This star system was only mentioned in writing.
Further information on this system can be had from the Star Trek: Star Charts (pp. 61 & 66) and Stellar Cartography: The Starfleet Reference Library ("Stellar Cartography", p. 38; "Federation Historical Highlights, 2161-2385"). These reference works identified this system as the location where the Battle of Algeron (β), the first battle of the Earth-Romulan War, was fought and classified the primary of this system as a A-class star.
