Alba Ra

"COMPUTER! TURN OFF THAT NOISE!" - Captain Picard finds Talarian music to be anything but therapeutic.

The "Alba Ra" was a loud and discordant form of contemporary 24th century electronic music. It was popular throughout the Talarian Republic. The Federation database had this style of music on file.

Jean-Luc Picard discovered Jono listening to it, in the Captain's quarters, during the boy's short stay aboard the USS Enterprise-D in 2367. (TNG: "Suddenly Human")
