Alanni rye was a type of whiskey with highly corrosive properties.

During the 2261 Federation Day centenary celebration on Starbase 1, Joseph M'Benga observed Kelzing preparing cocktails with Alanni rye and thought they looked "incredible". However, he and Montgomery Scott were dissuaded from trying them after Kelzing noted that the rye would eat holes through their esophagus, bodies, and the floor. (SNW: "Wedding Bell Blues")
