Age requirement

An age requirement was the stipulation that one be of a certain chronological or biological age before one could participate in an activity.

In 2364, T'Shanik took note of Wesley Crusher's youthful appearance and commented that he didn't look as though he met the age requirements for taking Starfleet Academy's entrance exam. Crusher then informed her that he would be turning 16 next month. (TNG: "Coming of Age")
