An APB (all-points bulletin) was an Earth term for an alert issued by law enforcement, often to be on the lookout for a person of interest.

While searching the Starfleet database for information on Me Hani Ika Hali Ka Po in 2257, Sylvia Tilly was notified of a Xahean diplomatic hail concerning Po, which she compared to a "galactic APB", before asking if Po was a fugitive. (ST: "Runaway")
