'Primeval Forest has huge trees, rich soil and is somewhat rainy. It is a great source of Wood and Redwood, and are typically safe places to wander (thanks to a lack of deadly weather types). These planets are rich in Algae and fossilized Bone for your crafting pleasure. Thick, black tar is also common. Huge beasts can sometimes be seen lumbering their way through these prehistoric woods.

Notable Features
You can find Algae and Fossils in abundance on these worlds. Mutavisk, the source of Mutavisk Silk, can be found here as well. Also unique to Primeval Forests are Redwood trees, a fantastic source of wood. These massive trees are both wider than standard trees and often extend multiple screen-heights vertically.
While rich in resources, Primeval Forests are can be difficult to explore due to raptors. Fast and often in groups, raptors are a serious threat to unprepared players. Avoid melee combat if possible. Raptors will announce themselves with a unique cry well before they appear onscreen, giving observant players enough time to gear up or flee.
