ACTIONS

Ensnare. Whenever a Small or smaller creature unknowingly attempts to enter the spytrap's space, it must succeed on a DC 11 Dexterity saving throw or be ensnared by an opaque casing. A creature trapped inside cannot damage the spytrap. Any creature trapped inside can make a DC 10 Wisdom (Nature) check or a DC 20 Athletics check to escape as they either figure out a way to make the spytrap retract, or simply bust out. If not, the creature takes 1 necrotic damage every hour until it dies.

Found deep in twilit forests, spytraps are deadly plants that feed on small rodents, or small adventurers when they can get them. They will capture and drain their prey of its life, luring them in with a sweet sap. This sap is highly sought after for its extremely sweetness among hunters and rangers.
