Martial Ranged Weapons

(Part of the ongoing "fantasy firearms" project to make a variety of firearms, balanced and flavored to fit within a standard D&D setting)

A simple flintlock rifle. Originally invented by gnomes, who discovered that certain easy to obtain alchemic ingredients could fire small lead ammunition with equivalent force to a crossbow bolt. It was the precursor to later designed flintlock pistols.

Variants were made with a simple blade attached, to reduce the danger of fighting a foe in melee combat, though it's been known to make the gun somewhat more unwieldy.
