Nameless Hollow (Bleach Supplement)
Nameless Hollow
|
Medium humanoid (human), neutral Armor Class 14 (natural armor)
Saving Throws Dex +3, Con +5 Hollow Reiryoku. The hollow has 3 Rieryoku which it can expend. All Reiryoku is regained at the end of a long rest. Soul. The hollow can only be seen, heard, smelled, touched, sensed, or interacted with by creatures with this feature or objects made of Reishi, though it can interact with creatures made of Kishi normally. Reiatsu. The hollow spend 1 Reiryoku at the beginning of its turn to release its Reiatsu until the beginning of its next turn, learning the direction from it of each creature within 30 feet and each of their proficiency bonuses. If a detected creature's proficiency bonus is 1 or lower, they take 3 bludgeoning damage. ACTIONSUnarmed Strike. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 3 bludgeoning damage. BONUS ACTIONSRegeneration (1 Reiryoku). The hollow or one of its body parts regains 11 hit points. This can restore hit points to a body part's higher tiers. REACTIONSHollow Hunger. When the hollow kills a creature that would not be affected by its Reiatsu, it may consume their soul, regaining Reiryoku equal to half the creature's proficiency bonus and causing them to be unable to be resurrected by any means. |
When a soul's regrets make it unable to pass into Soul Society and a shinigami does not purify them, they become a hollow; a masked monster hell-bent on consuming souls. Due to their bestial nature, most hollows do not remember their name from their past life, and while stronger hollows will be given a name by the Shinigami Corps, weaker hollows are considered chaff only worthy of the attention of an unseated shinigami, and certainly not worth naming. While all hollows hunger for souls, nameless hollows have a significantly lesser "metabolism", allowing them to eat the naturally-abundant Reishi present in Hueco Mundo. |
Hollow Archetypes
Each hollow is unique, though most tend to fall into a handful of classifications:
