Lucky Block (5e Equipment)
|
Wondrous item, Uncommon Lucky blocks are objects one cubic meter in size and takes on the appearance of gold. It also has a white question mark on each of its sides. What sets these magical objects apart from other wondrous items is the fact each one contains a fair amount of wild magic. To release that magic, all any one person does to accomplish it is to break the block open. once open, the block disintegrates and can do one of a number of things, like dropping random items, summoning one or more random creatures, do something very beneficial, or cause something to happen that is very detrimental to the person who opened it (and possibly everyone else around them). Many unfortunate souls who opened these blocks had their lives cut short by these unpredictable objects. To find these objects, all that needs to happen is to wander the world. They are known to be uncommon dungeon loot or are occasionally sold by merchants for 250 gp. Sometimes, a lucky block is found out in the wild, apparently waiting for anyone who stumbles across them.
