Dwarvish (Grisaire Supplement)

Dwarvish language is the spoken language of dwarves. However, it also has a written script that is used in Gnomish, Giant, Orc.

History

One of the scholarly reasons why Dwarvish script is used by giants is because it was originally derived from the language of giants. Giant itself did not have a script, so the dwarves were the first to put it into writing in a more common manner of writing rather than the ancient runes used by giants. Dwarvish is considered the oldest written biological language, something dwarves take great pride in.
