Dragon Soul

By [img src link]

Dragon Souls are dragons that have died and decided to live in another body of another race or machine. Dragon Souls are rare in any world, but they are even found in worlds without magic. Dragon Souls either live out their lives without knowing their is a dragon inside of them or find out about the dragon and then either live in harmony or battle for dominance of the body. Some people become Dragon Souls later in life and not at birth. Only Great Wyrm Dragons have be seen to be able to send their soul into another body even those trapped by magic (1% Chance if DM allows it) while most do not chose this path unless they either want to gain more or want to give to the future of the chosen individual. Dragon Souls have been able to merge with a host and then continue onto the next with millennials of knowledge and greed to pass down.

Making a Dragon Soul

Dragon Souls are the combat focused while they also are Skill Users. Dragon Souls are the tanks of the group who goes up to distract the enemies while others attack the distracted.

Abilities: Strength, Constitution, and Charisma are the three highest scores that matter to a Dragon Soul. Charisma matters because of features in the Dragon Soul class. Constitution and Strength because of the position that the Dragon Soul plays in the party.

Races: Any Race. A dragon does not care for the type of body that inhabit.

Alignment: Any (May have 2). Some characters who live with their dragon do not have to be the same alignment and could switch at any moment. The dragons is based on its type.

Starting Gold: 10d4×10 gp

Starting Age: Any. Dragon Souls can find out about their powers at any time.

Class Features

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Dragon Souls are proficient with all weapons, but no types of armor or shields.

Breath Weapon (Ex): Dragon Souls have learned how to use their dragon's breath weapon. Dragon Souls can use their breath weapon every 1d4 rounds. Look at the table below to find out your breath weapon and other abilities. The breath weapon deal 1d8 per level and has a Reflex Save DC 10 + 1/2 LvL + Con. 30 ft cone and 60 ft line for a medium creature, scale with size of creature.

Draconic Weapon (Ex): Dragon Souls are gifted a weapon from their dragon made from the Dragon's own body. Pick any type of weapon and you become proficient with only that weapon. The weapon is like the normal stats for that weapon, but now it has a increased crit range by 1, does 1 extra damage die of the same type, and increases the crit multiplier by 1. The weapon is bound to you and cannot be wielded by anyone else. The weapon also does extra damage equal to half your breath weapon damage, but change drain damage to the same as the weapon being used. The weapon is considered magical to overcome damage reduction. At 10th, 15th, and 20th level you gain an extra attack with your weapon to a total of +3 attacks. Use Strength for ranged weapons instead of Dex.

Dragon Scales: Dragon Souls gain the benefit of their dragons scales. You gain a +1 to your Natural Armor every 2 levels to a max of +10 from the class. This armor bonus stacks with natural armor you already have. By 10th level you gain the immunity and any other bonuses that the dragon would get from their scales.

Draconian Spells (Ex): Dragon Souls get spells based on the dragon inhabiting their body. The spells are listed on the table at the bottom of the page and your caster level is equal to your level and your saves are DC 10 + Cha + Spell LvL. You can use these spells times per day equal to your Charisma Score each. At 20th LvL you can cast all of your spells from this class at will and the DC equals 20 + Cha + Spell LvL.

Dragon Sight: At 2nd level, you gain the ability to see in the dark. You gain darkvision for 60 ft or if you had darkvision increase the distance by 60 ft. At 20th level, you gain blindsight for 120 ft and darkvision is increased by 120 ft.

Dragon Wings: At 4th level, your dragon has further affected your body. You gain a fly speed equal to twice your land speed with a maneuverability of Moderate. At 20th level, you fly speed is triple of your base speed and have perfect maneuverability.

Dragon Form: At 6th level, your harness your draconic powers to pull out the younger powers of your dragon. You can turn into a Wyrmling of the dragon type your dragon is. You do this as a full action and can do this a number of times per day equal to your Str modifier. This form lasts for 1d8 + lvl rounds. You get all the abilities of the dragon form you are in.

Draconic Powers: At 8th level, your standard form gains bonuses from your dragons true form. You replace your current ability scores with that of the wyrmling stage of your dragon. Keep whichever score is higher between your current and the dragons.

Dragon Scales Abilities: At 10th level, your scales have the abilities of the original dragons. Some dragons scales have abilities and that is what your scales have applied to them. You also gain Frightful Presence range of 5xLvL ft with a Will Save of DC equal to 10 + LvL + Cha.

Draconian Abilities: At 10th level, your dragon has shared its basic knowledge and abilities with you. You gain a +10 bonus to all of your class skills and you any natural abilities the dragon has upto the Adult age.

Improved Dragon Form: At 12th level, you can now transform into the Mature Adult form of your dragon.

Draconic Powers: At 14th level, your Draconic Powers increase to the Adult forms scores.

Perfect Dragon Form: At 16th level, your Dragon Form has now reached its final form. You can now turn into a Great Wyrm with all of the ability of that form.

Draconic Powers: At 18th levels, your Draconic Abilities have reached full power. Now use the Great Wyrm scores for your new scores.

Two Souls, One Body: At 20th level, your soul becomes one with the dragons. All of your abilities, except breath weapon, are able to be used at will at any time. Your breath weapon also deals a d12 instead of a d8(d6 instead of d4 for Fang). You gain the Half-Dragon template and the Dragon Type for feats, abilities, and other Dragon required features. Your Dragon Scales also have the Great Wyrm abilities of the dragons. Change all of your ability scores, BAB, and Saving Throws to that a Mature Adult of your Dragon.
