Elemental Affinity

At birth, each person is naturally attuned to one or more elements. A creature can only cast spells of elemental types they are affiliated with. When creating a character, you must roll your affinities.

Determining Affinities (1d100)

d100 RollNumber of Affinities Gained
01–601 Element
61–852 Elements

Each affinity grants access to all spells and effects associated with that element.

Elemental Adaptation

Whenever you cast a spell or make a magical attack that deals damage, you may change the damage type to one of your elemental affinities.

  • For example, if you cast a spell that deals fire damage but you are only attuned to Cold and Radiant, you must either cast a different spell or modify the damage type accordingly.
  • This flexibility allows casters to bypass resistances or customize their magical style to match their innate power.
