More information... |
Airavata, the deity of oceans, is depicted as a torrent of water and coral in the vague shape of a human. The gender-less god governs the oceans with a similar unbiased attitude. From the most lawful office, to the most chaotic pirate, any that set sail must offer Airavata tribute, lest they command the seas to swallow the blasphemes sailors' ships and drag them down into the briny depths.
Dogma
Airavata has no particular agenda. They are content to rule the seas from the sidelines.
Clergy and Temples
Airavata claims no temples or shrines. The sea itself is their shrine and temple. All sacred rights are performed on the seashore for Airavata to witness. Airavata's clergy distance themselves from the world, adopting Airavata's uncaring attitude, performing blessing of the sea on any that require them, so long as the proper tribute is given.
