Trivia

On April 7, 2025, it was announced that both Twin Energy and Double Colorless Energy are to be banned from the Gym Leader Challenge format starting April 24, 2025. With three different Energy cards that can be used to provide 2 Colorless Energy in the format (Double Colorless Energy, Twin Energy, and Double Turbo Energy), players are capable of easily launching powerful attacks that have a hefty Energy requirement, such as Snorlax from Lost Origin with its Thumping Snore attack that does 180 damage. Additionally, unlike Double Turbo Energy, Twin Energy and Double Colorless Energy functionally have no drawbacks to use in the Gym Leader Challenge format, hence the ban.[1]
