Tetsuya Watanabe

Tetsuya Watanabe (Japanese: 渡辺哲也 Watanabe Tetsuya) is a game developer who has worked at Game Freak since 1994.[1]
Watanabe has been involved with the Pokémon franchise ever since the original Pokémon Red and Green games, having originally worked as a programmer, and was the producer and director of Pokémon Quest. During the mid-2010s, he was the Director and General Manager of Development Department 1, which develops new original titles.[2] He later became the Director and General Manager of the Development Division, which oversees both Development Departments.[3]
