Shadowy aura (Japanese: やみのオーラ Aura of darkness) is a type of weather that only appeared in Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness and has never had an overworld manifestation.

A shadowy aura is created by using Shadow Sky and will last for five turns.

Description

Event Gen III
Shadow Sky used "A shadowy aura filled the sky!"
After turn is complete "Bursts of light showered from the shadowy aura!"
When damaging Pokémon "The flashing light strikes <Pokémon>!"
When the shadowy aura ends "The shadowy aura faded away!"

Effects

In battle

  • Increases the power of Shadow moves by 50% (although this is not mentioned ingame)
  • At the end of each turn, damages each Pokémon for 1/16 of its maximum HP, unless it is a Shadow Pokémon.
  • Changes Weather Ball to a typeless move and doubles its power. (If a Pokémon with Color Change is hit by typeless Weather Ball, it becomes a Normal type.)
