This card was included as a Regular card and a Full Art illustration rare card in the Black Bolt expansion, first released in the Japanese expansion with the same name. The Regular print features artwork by Yukihiro Tada, while the Full Art illustration rare print features artwork by Shinji Kanda.

Even though Seismitoad and its pre-evolved form are normally immune to Electric-type moves (the type to which the Lightning-type corresponds to) in the games, this card has a weakness to Lightning-type attacks. It might be because Tympole has a Lightning-type weakness, and Tympole is normally weak to Electric-type moves.
This card has the same two attacks as Seismitoad from the Noble Victories expansion, differing only in the Energy cost and damage output.

Round and Hyper Voice are both moves in the Pokémon games that Seismitoad can learn. This card's Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Black.
