Ponte (Japanese: ポンテ Ponte) is a character from the game Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia.

He is first seen at the Ranger School. Unlike the other students there, he is unsure what to do with his life, and is known as the school's "Conflicted Marshmallow Boy".

It is then learned later on at the Altru Ruins that Ponte had joined Team Dim Sun, but only for one day. During his stay, he had seen some of the team's actions, such as taking the Shadow Crystal, and quit the training. He then stayed in the ruins for quite a while since, according to him, there was a working toilet and some canned food which could last him a while.

After the end of the game, Ponte asks the player to bring him the Pokémon he wants to model. He just gives descriptions of the Pokémon since he forgot the name but when Probopass is brought, he remembers the name. He then carves it in wood. Ponte decides that he wants to do it for a living so he takes the player to Vientown to pay a visit to Mr. Woodward. Ponte wants to be Mr. Woodward's apprentice. The old man accepts, even if the carving is not very good, since he can see that Ponte has quite a lot of spirit. Ponte then stays here for the rest of the game.
