Pokémon Vertical Lamincards Advanced

A booster pack of Vertical Lamincards Advanced

Pokémon Lamincards are officially licensed Pokémon cards manufactured in 2004 by Italian Publishing Company Edibas. These Pokémon cards had most Pokémon from Generation III, 9 Trainer cards, 1 Pokédex, the Pikachu evolutionary line, and Meowth. The set had a total of 150 cards with no different versions or special lower pull rate chase cards.

Overview

A comparison between the vertical and rainbow Advanced cards

This was the first Lamincard set produced by Edibas for Pokémon. The official license was acquired in 2004, and ended in 2006.

All cards text are in Italian for this first set, since this was the home country of Edibas. After the successful launch of this Lamincard set, 6 others followed with several different other languages on them.

These cards can easily be distinguished from other Lamincards sets due to the vertical background used. The Pokémon artwork corresponds with the Rainbow Advanced set which was made in 2005. These had the horizontal background on them. Another easy way to distinguish the difference is the blue versus the rainbow backside of the cards.
