Pokémon Merlin Series 2

Pokémon cards featuring all Pokémon found in Kanto were created by Pokémon Merlin cards subsidiary of Topps in 2000. The collection features 216 stickers in total starting with 206 numbered cards and 10 poster cards.
The largest part of this set consist out of episode cards from the TV series with some of these cards consisting out of 2 pieces to complete the artwork. This set also has 12 'punch-out' sticker cards and 20 chase cards with sparkle cards and the big 3 animation cards with Charizard, Blastoise and Venusaur. Lastly there are 10 poster cards focused on the different Gym Badges of Kanto.
The cards were sold in packs of six and a sticker album was also made for the set. The cards can be best recognized by checking the backside of the cards. The trademark year is the best indicator, which out of the 7 sets the card is from.
Sparkle Cards
Out of these 216 cards there are 24 sparkle / holo cards which were selected out of the artworks based on desirability. This is the only set that has 2 versions of the sparkle / holo cards: regular ones and 'cracked ice' cards. Examples are added for each card.
