Plot
Spoiler warning: this article may contain major plot or ending details.
While picnicking with her friends, Hazel realizes that a photo of Almond she had kept in her bag has gone missing. When Almond—who had no knowledge of the photo being taken—asks about it, Hazel nervously sets off to look for it. Her Pokémon agree to help her find the photo, as well as a curious Squirtle and Coconut.
As the Pokémon begin searching together, they come across a Kadabra. Kadabra tells the Pokémon that it senses they are looking for something, then encourages them to follow it so it can help with its Psychic powers. When Clefairy asks what "Psychic" means, Kadabra demonstrates its abilities by bending a spoon by using Kinesis. When Eevee gets annoyed by the distraction, Kadabra hastily demonstrates its Teleport move, but doesn't use it to help them find the photo. It then shows off its Psywave, but doesn't notice that the other Pokémon have already gone back to searching.
Jigglypuff reports back to the group that it found something, and the group follows it up a cliff where a Snorlax is resting. Kadabra announces that the photo is beneath Snorlax, but the group is unable to wake it up in order to ask it to move. Kadabra shows off its Hypnosis, but it is met with frustration from the others for using it on a Pokémon that is already asleep. The group then attempts to push Snorlax, but they are unsuccessful.
Seeing how exhausted everyone is after pushing, Kadabra realizes it can help, but first decides to have a picnic with everyone. The scent of the food manages to wake Snorlax, and it gets to its feet, revealing Hazel's crumbled photograph underneath it. The group thanks Kadabra for its help, then leaves to return the photo to Hazel. After eating all of the food, Snorlax lies back down, trapping Kadabra underneath it.
