Charmander Sees a Ghost (Japanese: おばけをみちゃったヒトカゲくん Hitokage-kun Saw a Ghost) is a book written by Akihito Toda and illustrated by Kagemaru Himeno. It is the first book in the Pokémon Tales series (in both Japanese and English). It is 18 pages long.
Plot
Charmander is spending time in a decrepit old mansion, only to see a ghost and run away in terror. He runs to a cabin where his friends Bellsprout, Slowpoke, and Pikachu and playing a game, and they agree to follow him back to find the ghost. After a bit of time investigating, the group realizes that the ghost was actually Charmander's own shadow from the flame on his tail.
