The Letter (Japanese: ダイゴへのてがみ Letter to Daigo ) is a Key Item introduced in Generation III . It is a letter from Mr. Stone addressed to his son, Steven .
In the core series games Price Effect The Letter is given to Steven inside Granite Cave to progress the storyline. After receiving the Letter, Steven will give the player a TM47 R S E TM51 OR AS Steel Wing ) for their troubles.
In Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire , and Emerald , reporting the successful delivery to Mr. Stone also earns the player an Exp. Share .
