The main character Riku has a dream where he's taking a picture of all the Eeveelutions but suddenly they come charging at him, frightening him and scaring him out of his dream. He realizes that he is late for class and hastily gets dressed. In his rush, he knocks over a magazine detailing several Eeveelutions. While rushing out of his house, Hoshi, his friend, shows up with his newly evolved Salamence (named Tatsurou) to give him a ride to school. During class, he contemplates his and Eevee's future. When he gets home, he sees his Eevee looking at the magazine he knocked over earlier. He realizes his Eevee is also undecided about its future.
