Release information
This card was included as a Regular card, a Full Art ultra rare card, a special illustration rare card, and a gold etched hyper rare card in the Twilight Masquerade expansion, first released in the Japanese Crimson Haze subset. The Regular, Full Art ultra rare, and hyper rare prints feature artwork by aky CG Works, while the special illustration rare print features artwork by MINAMINAMI Take.
An SVP Promotional print with different artwork by aky CG Works was available in the Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex Box from November 15, 2024. An oversized version was also included in the box. The SVP Black Star Promotional print was released in the Japanese Terastal Fest ex subset, alongside a Full Art special illustration rare print with artwork by Yano Keiji. The Terastal Fest ex special illustration rare print was later included in the special Prismatic Evolutions expansion outside Asia.
In Japan, the Regular print was reprinted as an SV-P Promotional card and was distributed as part of the inaugural Pokémon Card Gym Entry Campaign. Following an update to the Players Club on September 2, 2024,[1] the First Entry Campaigns from 2023 and 2024 were rebranded Pokémon Card Gym Entry Campaigns and incorporated into a new My Gym feature. This feature allowed registered players to assign up to three Pokémon Card Gym venues as a 'My Gym', which allowed them to see specific upcoming events and be able to acquire prizes. Players that took part in an event at one of their assigned Gyms and checked in via the event's QR code would earn a digital Gym Stamp.
Players that earned two Gym Stamps during the campaign period, which ran from March 1 until August 31, 2025, became eligible for a promotional Buddy-Buddy Poffin card; those that earned four stamps became eligible for the promotional copy of this card. Upon reaching prize thresholds, players could confirm these with venue staff and receive a copy of the relevant card. Players could claim their prizes up to October 31, 2025. Players could not change an assigned Gym for three months, and an assigned Gym would be automatically canceled if a player had not recorded any activity there for more than one year. A maximum of four Gym Stamps could be earned per campaign period, which was planned to cycle every six months. Gym Stamps would reset at the start of a new campaign period.[2] The SV-P Promotional print features the Pokémon Card Gym logo.
