  • Fandom Rivalry: With Spider-Man: No Way Home for the multiverse plot.
  • Overshadowed by Controversy: The decision to reboot the Man of Steel DC Cinematic Universe using this movie as device and the criminal antics of the main actor were more visible than the movie itself. Once it came out, the reveal that Barry is basically the only major Flash character on the entire movie caused outrage of Flash fans that accused DC of making Batman overshadow the Flash on the latter's own movie debut.
