Snoot Game/YMMV
- Alternative Character Interpretation:
- Trish:
- Is she a well-meaning but naive girl who wants the best for Fang but doesn't realize that she's pushing Fang into making decisions and assumes that Fang approves just because they aren't not explicitly rejecting said decisions? Or is she a Control Freak who's perfectly aware of of the fact that she's manipulating Fang into how she wants them to be?
- Is she a genuine speciesist who hates Anon because he's the only human student at Volcano High? Or does she hate Anon because she sees his attempts at supporting Fang as a threat to her control over them?
- Trish:
- Darker and Edgier: The game touches on heavier personal issues than Goodbye Volcano High does.
- Draco In Leather Pants: Trish is a bad-tempered, violent bigot who is borderline possessive of Fang and VVURM DRAMA. Reed is an indecisive, people-pleasing doormat who can't seem to take anything seriously or provide genuine support for his friends. Many fanfics either dramatically downplay their flaws, or especially in the case of Reed, flat-out ignore them.
- Fandom Rivalry: Mostly one-sided with how the developers and fans of Goodbye Volcano High absolutely loathe Snoot Game, which they see as an overtly anti-LGBTQ Shallow Parody made in bad faith. While most fans of Snoot Game enjoy Goodbye Volcano High, a minority views Snoot Game as better than the source material.
- Flame War: Snoot Game versus Goodbye Volcano High debates can get quite heated over whether Snoot Game improves on the weaker points of Goodbye Volcano High or it's just a spiteful anti-LGBTQ Shallow Parody.
- Internet Backdraft: Never mention Snoot Game within earshot of fans of Goodbye Volcano High as doing so will almost certainly start a fire. Almost all Goodbye Volcano High fans universally despise Snoot Game, seeing it as a mean-spirited and overtly anti-LGBTQ Shallow Parody made in bad faith as a trolling attempt and/or as backlash to the LGBTQ themes in Goodbye Volcano High.
- Moral Event Horizon: Fang crosses it in Ending 1 when she commits a school shooting at Volcano High.
- Overshadowed by Controversy: The game is notorious for its controversial take on LGBTQ, its origin on 4chan, heated fights on the TV Tropes forums that involved several members (including one who had a Special Thanks credit in the game), at least one doxxing, raids that led to edit wars on the page, and debates on whether or not it was a sincere attempt at making a game or a mean-spirited Shallow Parody of Goodbye Volcano High.
- Rooting for the Empire: Naomi is quite popular with the fans despite how manipulative and unpleasant she is.
