• Crosses the Line Twice: Homophobic slurs aren’t funny, but since the mean cab driver said one to Mitch about the broken seatbelt from the backseat, that was hilarious!
• Ensemble Darkhorse: Blue stole the spotlight from the other fraternity members.
• Even Better Sequel: This film got better reviews than Phillips' first film Road Trip.
• Fountain of Memes: Frank the Tank is one of the more quotable Will Ferrell characters.
• Harsher in Hindsight: Blue's death is harder to watch now that Patrick Crenshaw who played Blue died in 2005.
• Memetic Mutation:
  • "We're going streaking!"
  • "Bring your green hat!" Can be used for Saint Patrick's Day.
  • "Yes! I am back!" was a popular GIF source in the late 2010s.
• Signature Line: "You're my boy, Blue!"
• Signature Scene: Where Frank is streaking.
• Signature Song: "Here I Go Again" by Whitesnake.
• Spiritual Successor: Can be considered the Millennial take of Animal House.
• Tear Jerker: Blue's funeral is quite sad for a comedy film.
