    Indiana is a state of The United States. nestled in between Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, and Kentucky. The northern border includes a small bit of the Lake Michigan coast, connecting it to the Great Lakes. Folks from there are called Hoosiers.

    It is home to Indianapolis, which is the largest city and state capitol. Two notable events there are GenCon, a large tabletop gaming convention, and the Indianapolis 500 of Indy Car in the suburb of Speedway.

    Other cities in Indiana of note include Fort Wayne, Muncie is associated with Garfield, Gary as the hometown of The Jackson 5, and Columbus which is known for its architecture.

    If you see Indiana in fiction, expect it to be either Everytown, America, Down on the Farm, Flyover Country, or perhaps as part of broader Chicagoland.
