Horizon Chase 2 is a arcade racing game set along colorful tracks across the world.

First released in 2022, it was developed by the Brazilian company Aquiris Game Studio. It was released for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and VisionOS.

  • Always Night: The track "Dancing Trulli" in Alberobello, Italy.
  • The Amazon: A portion of the Amazon rainforest features as a track in Brazil.
  • Ancient Rome: Played with. The track in Volubilis in Morocco is entirely about racing through the preserved remains and ruins of an ancient Roman city.
  • Anti-Frustration Features: Crashing a car, even severely or at high speeds, simply results in lost time. The player is able to stay in the race and keep going without further punishment.
  • Christmas Episode: The Brazilian track of Gramado & Canela is filled with Christmas lights and other holiday decor to race through.
  • The City: San Francisco, São Paulo, and Marrakesh serve as this for their respective areas.
  • Cool Car: Several, such as the Lebenslang Cruiser-R and Alastor Sentinel.
  • Death Mountain: A few examples.
    • The mountains hosting and surrounding Ouro Preto feature steep ascents and declining slopes over the mountainous terrain, both in urban and natural environments.
    • The track Tizi n'Tichka is a winding decent along dry mountain cliffs.
  • Developer's Room: Played with as an unusual racing game example. When racing in Porto Alegre, where the developers are based in real life, a building bearing an signage for their studio can be seen along the track.
  • Down on the Farm: A few examples.
    • Players pass through an agricultural section in the tracks on Lake Elmore in Vermont.
    • A vineyard is raced through as part of the course in Riomaggiore, Italy.
  • Eternal Engine: The dam at the Brazilian level Foz do Iguaçu is looms over the course, with associated facilities dotted through the track.

  • In-Universe Game Clock: On some tracks time can pass to change the lighting effects, such as the final track in Montpelier where evening transitions to night.
  • Eagle Land: The levels set in The United States include three tracks each in Florida, Vermont, and California.
  • Flavor Text: When the player passes another car or runs into something, a brief text box may appear next to the player's driver character with a comment.
  • Hollywood New England: The levels in Vermont, focusing on Montpelier and Lake Elmore.
  • Interface Screw: Can happen on some levels, such as the sandstorm in Death Valley obscuring the players vision.
  • Nitro Boost: Players can pop a nitro to gain a significant boost in speed.
  • Merchant City: The track of Fez in Morocco is dotted with stalls in parts. It's tagline in game is even "Gold and Dye".

    • The Brazilian track set in Fernando De Noronha takes place along a beautifully scenic tropic coastline.
    • The Moroccan track Essaouira has sections that are this, with the rest being a Port Town.
    • The Italian track Monterosso al Mare features a beach side section.

    • The city of Porto Alegre in Brazil the site of a major track. A large container ship can be seen in the waters.
    • Much of the city of Essaouira in Morocco is this, though sections switch to Palmtree Panic.
    • The tracks in the cities of Vernazza, Manarola, and Polignano A Mare in Italy all feature scenic ports.
  • Real Is Brown: Compared to the popping colors of the rest of the game, the streets of the old city of Meknes in Morocco are subdued with a dominant tan.
  • Real Place Background: While the tracks are not 1:1 recreations of reality, many of the individual set pieces of tracks are inspired by real life monuments.
  • Scenery Porn: The environments are gorgeous, featuring deep colors and details that work well at speed.
    • The mixture of Medieval and modern in the Italian level Pacentro is particularly pleasing.
