Chuck E. Cheese in the Galaxy 5000/YMMV
- Accidental Innuendo: "Just a squirt in your face!"
- Nightmare Fuel: This troper is haunted by the subliminal image of Chuck E.'s face that appears before he crashes into the hermit's home. If you watch it on Youtube, then it appears at 39:11.
- Alternate Character Interpretation: Part of the song "Zoom Gas" implies that usage of the titular gas "scrambles your brain." This could explain the X-Racers' exaggeratedly bumbling and oafish behavior. The circumstances under which they come under its influence were never detailed. It could be just as likely that they were scientists who helped Zoom create the gas and unwittingly became test subjects or desperate, average joes down on their luck who made a Deal with the Devil as it is that they were muscleheaded hotshots all along.
- Ear Worm: The Zoomgas song. Ugh...
- Special Effect Failure: Everything that isn't a person after the restaurant. It's like they stepped into a game!
- The heads for the costumes also fall into this. Largely use to the remote signals being the same (or similar) between them, making the wrong character have his/her eyes or mouth move by mistake.
- Chroma Key: Virtually all of the movie past the first scenes in the restaurant is shot in front of a green screen, and it shows.
