  • Bile Fascination/Just Here for Godzilla: Once this film resurfaced on Disney+, the Preston-Shay subplot and the kiss that caps it off appears to have become the only reason anyone watches and comments on it.
  • Double Standard, Squick, Unfortunate Implications: Apparently, it's okay for an adult woman to be openly attracted to a young boy and even kiss him on the lips (in front of cops, no less). This movie would've seemed much darker if the genders were reversed.
