After War Gundam X/YMMV

  • And the Fandom Rejoiced: After War Gundam X being in Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 3, and the HG Gundam X model being released.
  • Complete Monster: Not the Frost brothers (who are Smug Snakes at worst) but New Earth Federation leader Lord Fixx Bloodman and SRA leader Seidel Rasso although, in a subversion of how conflicts between Earth and its colonies are often portrayed, Rasso actually comes off as far more unhinged and totalitarian than Bloodman. Neither ends up surviving the final battle.
    • Nomoa Long as well.
  • Cult Classic: The series may among the ones with the fewest viewers, but those who watched it tend to hold it in high regard.
  • Crowning Moment of Heartwarming: Garrod REPEATEDLY breaking out of his cell just to go get flowers for Tiffa. And then he returns to his cell.
    • The end of Estard Arc, where it is revealed that all of Luchs' scheming is in reality done to protect his young master, including forfeiture of his own life upon Estard's official surrender in return for Willis not being held responsible or punished for the war. Luchs is in fact happy to see that Willis ultimately elected to take on the obligations of his status rather than fleeing with Frieden and, during their final dinner together, encourages Willis to lead his people through NUNE domination with the same courage the young prince had just enacted.
  • Crowning Music of Awesome: Several, to wit:
    • Both OPs. X Made more awesome by the fact that they don't start until after the recap of the last few minutes of the previous episode, cliffhangers and all.
    • Resolution is far more Hot-Blooded than Dreams, though. Listen to it and see if it doesn't get you fired up.
    • And it gets even more Hot-Blooded once Masaaki Endoh does a remix for the song in the Lantis Gundam Tribute.
    • The first ED (it's in English and it features that guy who started and finished "Voices That Care", dood!)
    • A lot of the BGMs that play whenever battle is joined. The one that plays when the Satellite Cannon is deployed is notably epic. That track is called, surprise surprise, "Satellite Cannon".
  • Cult Classic: X is easily one of the more obscure TV Gundam shows, meaning few people in the West know of it or watched it. Those who did, however, have nothing but praise to sing. It's also 4chan's favorite Gundam AU.
  • Fashion Victim Villain: Shagia looks all right with his frilly shirt and coat, but Olba's jacket and boots clash real bad.
  • Germans Love David Hasselhoff: Despite never actually getting an official release of the series, American Gundam fans seem to appreciate Gundam X a great deal more than Japanese fans did.
  • Memetic Badass:
    • Jamil with his UC-hero-patchwork-persona, with Hotblooded Sideburns added.
    • Also Garrod and Tiffa as a "Memetic Sweet Couple".
  • Magnificent Bastard: Whether Shagia is one of these or a Smug Snake is a matter of some contention.
  • Memetic Mutation See Gundam/Memes
  • Moe: Tiffa Adil.
  • The Scrappy: Olba Frost, the younger Frost, is ferociously bashed by fandom for supposedly being a male Yandere with a brother complex. Even his voice actor hates him - the role even gave him an aversion to "Nii-san."}.
  • Viewer Gender Confusion: Carris.
  • Vindicated by History:
    • Its original release was overlooked, but it has recently built up quite a fanbase.
    • Vindicated by History Super Robot Wars: Its frequent appearances in these has bolstered the fandom, especially its role in fan-favorite Super Robot Wars Z.
    • It was already a fan-favourite long before Z came around: ever since its debut in Alpha Gaiden it's been one of the more popular of the A Us among the SRW fanbase.
  • The Woobie: Tiffa.
